　　That’s what Young Style, a charming and beautifully shot movie about first love in high school, is all about.這就是《青春派》，這樣一部講述高中生情竇初開(kāi)的影片的主題。該片畫(huà)面精良，魅力十足。

　　The 16-year-old Ju Ran (Dong Zijian) fails the vital exam after being rejected by Huang Jingjing, 18, for whom he’s held a torch for three years. Ju retakes the entire fourth year of high school, with the same class head teacher Sa (Qin Hailu) and a group of return students. His only goal is to get into the same institution, the prestigious Fudan University, as Huang.16歲的居然（董子健飾演）在向暗戀三年的女神——18歲的黃晶晶表白后，卻以失戀收場(chǎng)，而后他高考落榜。原班主任薩老師加上一群復讀生，他開(kāi)始了自己的復讀生涯。他只有一個(gè)目標，那就是考入黃晶晶所就讀的名校復旦。

　　The movie has no major stars to impress audiences with, and compared with Japan and South Korea, the high-school movie is a relatively new genre in China. Even so, cinematographer-turned-director Liu Jie gives the characters and the cliched story a fresh feel on the screen, packing a tight hour-and-a-half full of laughter and tears.該片并沒(méi)有什么令人印象深刻的大明星，相對于日韓片，高校題材的影片在中國尚屬“新生事物”。即便如此，在拍而優(yōu)則導的劉杰手中，片中人物以及老套的劇情竟呈現出令人耳目一新之感。在一個(gè)半小時(shí)的電影中，故事情節一氣呵成，充滿(mǎn)歡聲和淚水。

　　What’s new about Young Style is not only its accessible approach, but also the great confidence Liu shows in handling the material. Naughty students, concerned parents, strict teachers and first-love pains, that’s almost all we’ve seen in other high-school movies. But under Liu’s direction, the movie plays out with so much assurance that it maintains a consistent feel without losing its focus on the lead character Ju.《青春派》的新穎之處不僅僅在于“接地氣”，劉杰導演在處理素材上所表現出的那份自信也是功不可沒(méi)。頑皮的學(xué)生、焦慮的家長(cháng)、嚴格的老師以及初戀的痛楚，這些主題我們早已在其他同類(lèi)型影片中見(jiàn)識過(guò)。但在劉杰的執導下，該片顯得“底氣十足”，情節連貫一氣呵成之余，并未有將焦點(diǎn)從主角居然身上移開(kāi)。

　　On the acting side, there isn’t a weak link in the casting. While the young actors and actresses appear fresh and natural, the always-reliable Qin binds the movie together with her portrayal of a paradoxical teacher. On the one hand, she wants her unruly students to realize how important the exam is to their future. On the other hand, she avoids being a stereotyped figure of authority.在表演方面，演員陣容堪稱(chēng)無(wú)懈可擊。年輕演員們的表現清新、自然，實(shí)力派演員秦海璐則充當了該片的“粘合劑”，她刻畫(huà)了一位內心矛盾的教師形象。一方面，她希望這群無(wú)法無(wú)天的學(xué)生能夠意識到高考對前途的重要性；另一方面，她又想擺脫教師刻板的權威形象。

　　It’s true that in a society that’s obsessed with profit and success, often times we’re told to focus on studying and building up a career.
