Dragon Boat festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan.

端午節是為了紀念中國詩(shī)人屈原所設立的節日

He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the corruption of the Chu government.

他由于厭惡古代朝廷的貪腐而投江自殺

People sat on dragon boats,and tried to scare the fishes away by the thundering sound of drums.
