《鈴兒響叮當》是一首曲調流暢、情緒歡快的美國歌曲。生動(dòng)的歌詞描繪了一群孩子冒著(zhù)大風(fēng)雪，坐在馬拉的雪橇上，他們的歡聲笑語(yǔ)伴著(zhù)清脆的馬鈴聲回響在原野……表現了孩子們熱情奔放的性格，抒發(fā)了熱愛(ài)美好生活的真摯情感。歌曲為再現的二段體結構。第一樂(lè )段以“3”、“4”的同音反復為主，加上 “ ×× × | ×× × | ×× ×.× | × - |”節奏的運用，塑造了馬兒奔跑、鈴兒叮當的歡快的音樂(lè )形象。第二樂(lè )段從第一樂(lè )段的最后一小節后半拍開(kāi)始，“ × | ×× ×× | × - |”的節奏從弱起進(jìn)入，這一節奏的重復出現，加上曲調的逐步上移，給人以推動(dòng)感，刻畫(huà)了孩子們隨著(zhù)雪橇沖破風(fēng)雪、飛奔向前的情景。歌曲的最后樂(lè )段的重復再現，并在結尾用一延長(cháng)的、漸弱的高音“1”，結束了全曲，仿佛雪橇已漸漸遠去，而那充滿(mǎn)歡笑的歌聲仍在風(fēng)雪中回蕩。
