　　youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life . 青春不是生命的一段時(shí)光，它是一種精神狀態(tài);它不是紅潤的面頰，紅色的嘴唇和柔軟的膝蓋，這是一種情感：它是新鮮的;它是生命的深泉涌流。

　　youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals. 青春意味著(zhù)戰勝怯懦的勇氣氣質(zhì)優(yōu)勢，冒險戰勝安逸。這往往存在于一個(gè)人的60多歲的男孩20。人老不僅僅是通過(guò)數年。不思進(jìn)取。
